Khaki is the New Black
I’ve always believed I had green eyes. Not boring brown as everybody seems to believe. Green. Yes, look closer. Isn’t there a little green stain here? On the left side? What, no?
Well… Ok then. My eyes are khaki. And you know what? I am totally fine with that. Because khaki is the big trend of the season. Khaki ? The New Black. My eyes are a total hit this season, and count on me for making everybody know.
It’s all in the way you hide…
Tuesday, at the Burberry Prorsum show, I was seated across Mary-Kate Olsen. Next to her, Kate Hudson was joking with Rachel Zoe across the catwak and Kristen Stewart was watching all the hysteria around. Mary-Kate, dressed all in black, hiding behind giant sunglasses and a Mona Lisa smile, was totally still.
In the showroom
In New York, I was seduced by the Rag & Bone show. So I went and took a stroll through their showroom, right next to the Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking District. That’s where I met Nancy. I ate all her Oreos and told her how much I liked her coat.
“Oh this? It’s just a simple blanket I found in Chinatown and I cinched it!”
Mmmmm. That’s what you call style, isn’t it?
Big hugs!
PS: I just love these New Yorker brick walls so much…

From the Front Row…
Rodarte
Here is the last video from New York, at the Rodarte show. I really enjoyed the end, lit by black light (do you call “lumière noire” black light in english ?)… And then I am off, leaving the grey skies of London to jump on a plane to Milan. Please tell me I’ll find the sun here !!! Kisses !
At the Café
Pffff, for two days now, we’ve been getting weather that’s so typically London. Rain, grey skies… You could freeze out here!
That said, before the shows, everyone meets up at the TopShop Café. TopShop has a really active part in fashion week this year (Yeah, that’s the reason I’ve talked about them twice in a row… But after today, promise, no more!). The giant British brand sponsored tons of shows, released a lot of work by young designers, and injected a lot of money and energy into this year’s fashion week.
And offers a cozy little escape for the whole thirsty and hungry fashion crowd.
I love this stuff.
Carine Roitfeld and Carla Sozzani, in the middle of a conversation before the Marios Schwab show.
Tiffany, I love your look! And I want your trench.
I love this stuff. Part deux.
I’m getting that something’s going on with these trenches…
And off we go, a quick stop. It’s nice that the café is 10 feet from the next show.
Besides, it’s time for my latte. Big hugs! Bonne journée!
