Les Belles Actrices Françaises

I love French cinema and its actresses, especially at that moment when, before the super international celebrification and the 12 bodyguards that go along with it, they have that simplicity and that sparkle that make them so magnetic.

At the Chloé show, sitting in front of me was Aïssa Maïga, Marina Hands, Lou Lesage and Camille Rowe.

Four girls I really like a lot.

  32. They look great.
    Beautiful photo.

Merci.
    Bisous
    Anne

    Keep your good job :)

  62. such a beautiful photo

  63. I love this post! I’m in need of learning more about contemporary French actors and rock bands (not Deneuve, Bardot or S. Gainsbourg). The world consumes as much American pop culture as Coke and Apple gadgets. It’s good that we share something universal, but it’s also sad that the masses here had to meet Clemence Poesy thru Gossip Girl or Audrey Tautou thru The Da Vinci Code. Garance, I see you and Sofia Coppola both as cultural ambassadors that bring us great French actresses, style and music. Please keep it up.

  65. Lou Lesage est superbe, vive la new gen !

I began my blog in June, 2006. I was an illustrator and growing frustrated – with the type of work I was getting, yes, but mostly frustrated because I wasn’t really connecting with the readers of the magazines I was working for. I wanted to do something a little more free, more spontaneous. I had ...
