What we didn’t know on our way to Miami was that there would be a house music festival. It’s a liiiiittle bit crazy on the streets, with a boom boom starting at 10am, I will have to tell you about it. So what we did is we escaped from Miami Beach and found shelter at the Standard, which is way more calm. I even have a yoga class in half an hour. Aaaaaaaah !

ahhh, my home away from home…the standard:) If you have time, you should visit my friend Luis Morais, his main studio is in Miami and his jewelry is beyond amazing. (His website Luismorais.com.) he just launched the site, but has soooooo much more at the studio, all the gorgeous colors of Miami are there…i arrive at the Standard tomorrow to work on the Moncler campaign with Bruce Weber, so maybe i’ll see you there! Isn’t Miami magical? So glad to hear you’re having fun in our beautiful city!! Definitely visit Bal Harbour Shops, and if you want to check typical, old fashioned boardwalks, go to the Fort Lauderdale beach boardwalk and the Hollywood one (where they tape Burn Notice all the time and say it’s South Beach!)

The sunny and warm weather is jumping out of the picture..which is a relief to our poor souls here in surprisingly freezing Week-End in London (whatever happened to that great early summer weather forecast….).

I just returned from the winter in Florida. So lovely. So nice to wear all my new spring colors too!
You are there during Winter Music Conference, a long running dance music conference for music people from all over the world. It is quite insane. But many ways to hear some great music from small an intimate to large and over the top. You both should try to take advantage. Pretend you are Les Bain Douches and dance the night away!

La Winter Music Conference….. certainement le plus gros évènement de musiques électroniques (essentiellement house) au monde, c est un peu la fashion week parisienne des musiques électroniques, toute la planète converge à Miami pour une une grosse semaine. Cela commence tôt et cela finit tard, on y trouve le pire et le meilleure, dj stars et des ‘wanna be’, beaucoup de champagne…. une fashion week en quelque sorte, enjoy !

ahh yes! Garance, i was there the same time as you. My sister and I booked a room at the shore club, and didn’t know a thing about this music festival before we got there. Well we went from a gorgeous ocean front room (which was vibrating from bass by 11 am) to a back-of-the-hotel room with a sound proof door so we could SLEEP. I want to go out, just not 20 hours a day! It was gorgeous there, though! xxoo
