My Super Duper Goggles

My Super Duper Goggles

Usually, I go for simplicity when it comes to style. I’m a pretty classic girl when it comes down to it.

EXCEPT WHEN IT COMES TO WINTER SPORTS.

Then it all gets let loose. For example, I’ve developed quite a taste for bionic looking goggles, and I love a good color explosion, shiny reflective gear every where, gimmie it all, I love it.

So here’s my new mask, a Von Zipper (I think this kind of a NO, NOT COOL!!! brand for TRUE SNOWBOARDERS, a group that I am, of course, a part of –okay, maybe I’m just their groupie that tries to follow them around without running into any trees.)(There have been quite a lot of trees… and they’ve done quite a lot of damage.)(I swear, I still can’t figure out the sound of the name of this brand.)(Scott actually finally gave it a shot this year, so maybe 10 years from now, when he learns to turn, I might finally have a snowboarding companion. Who knows?)(I’m kidding, Scott picked it up like a pro!!!) … So Von Zipper, I’m totally in.

Ah Von Zipper !!

Winter sports are one area where all fashion sense can go completely out the window. Baggy pants with a crotch to my knees? Yes please. A jacket in 3 clashing colours. Wouldn’t have it any other way. So a pair of bionic looking bug-glasses are more than okay with me.

Love it! Also just bought new goggles, with the super reflective lens of course (mine have the orange tinge)!! One of my favorite things about skiing, besides the skiing itself is all the crazy outfits and colors people put together, its endlessly entertaining! Keeps you occupied on the chairlift ride up ;)

Hahah I so can relate to the “winter-fashion-breakout” thing. Sometimes winter can make us all dull and we just don’t give a sh*t about style anymore when we just intend on surviving the weather. Choosing something rather insane helps me break out from the survival mode.
P.S: Nice goggles, you have my permission to go pro snowboarding now

WAHOU!

    See you,

My favorite winter sport is watching cold from somewhere warm and cozy. Only thing that can drag me outside in the winter is my camera.

I grew up in a small town at the foot hills of the Dolomites, so naturally I always try to spend some time snowboarding when I go there! this is the best way to get really freezing cold and to collect lots of bruises allover your body but I love it! ok, maybe in a masochistic kind of way but it is lots of fun to fly down immaculate slopes after years of frustrating attempts to look like you know what you are doing. The other perk is the joy of a hot shower and a hot chocolate, you do learn to appreciate the small things in life after a day on a mountain top! If you would like some advise on sky goggles here are my tips ;-)
