Garance, I would love it if some day you would explain to us how you feel about a label like Chanel. We know your history with Alaïa, Mugler, etc., but how did something like Chanel, which is such an institution, figure in your fashion imaginary as you grew up?

Il n’y a rien à faire… Jamais je ne me ferai à ce sac, ni à Chanel n°5. Comme dans la chanson de Delerm “sous les avalanches” en fait. Des grands mère qui sentent ce parfum ou portent ce sac, c’est daté. Je trouve qu’il y a des choses bien plus belles et innovantes ailleurs.
Certes c’est iconique, c’est “de bon ton” d’aimer mais en fait ces objets m’ennuient terriblement!
J’imagine que (comme d’habitude!) mon commentaire ne passera pas car il ne reflète pas l’allégresse générale, mais au moins j’aurais donné mon avis.

Great bag. My guess is vintage, probably mid-1990s. The intertwined C’s logo is not that large anymore but I think it was around 1994-1996.
