Talking about fashion that we keep around, here is a classic I’ll never get tired of – my folding Wayfarers. They are ultra-light, fold in any pocket (I am not very high-maintenance with my glasses) and, well, no need to tell you more about it, we all know that they are simply sublime.

I love wayfarer, they’re a real classic! I got a pair from the ’80 (bausch & lomb) but I think they’re so difficult to wear, I saw only a few people looking good with wayfarer!

Ray-Ban wayfarers are the best. I bought the tortoise ones over a year ago, and they’ve been my go-to pair since the very first day.

Les pliables, je ne savais pas que ça existant en Wayfarer (oui j’aurais du écrire cette phrase dans l’autre sens). Et que cela doit être pratique! Et adorable.

En plastic (?) bien lourd, sans la marque d’inscrite, un peu plus imposante que les nouvelles, et sans le plastic qui brille, et je les adore. Ma grande peur de les perdre.
Et oui, qu’est-ce qu’elles sont sublimes!
Ben voilà, le post sur les lunettes Wayfarer en écaille rejoint la problématique sur la fourrure. L’utilisation de vraie écaille de tortue est interdite depuis 1973, remplacée par un beau matériau en plastique. Ce serait bien si l’industrie de la fourrure parvenait au même résultat et que ceux qui trouvent ça beau (pas moi!) continuent à en porter, mais de la fausse!

J’adore ce modèle ! j’ai eu ma première paire il y a quelques années et je les ai perdues au Mexique cet été… quand je suis aller chez l’opticien pour les recommander il me dit : “Mais c’est le modèle que vous aviez déjà, vous ne voulez pas changer un peu ?” Non mais ça va pas ?!?!
Etant une américaine dans l’âme je vous dirais “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it” ou en bon français on ne change pas une équipe qui gagne !!

I am not a huge fan of the wayfarer, I just think it doesn’t fit my face right. Same goes to the RayBan aviator. I like big sunglasses like the classic black chanels that fit my oval face better.
Speaking of those wayfarer sunglasses, I found a website that actually does them in mirrors – how cool is that?

These are a total classic. I got the tortoise folding wayfarer like two years ago, always loved how practical they were. The only downside (and this is a huuuuge downside for me because I’m so careless): I lose them! I’m on my third pair of this same style (hoping it’s the charm). I’ve managed to not lose any of my regular wayfarers so I think I’m going to stick to those if I ever lose another pair, though fingers crossed that I become more responsible/sunglass tracking becomes a thing.

I’ve had the tortoise ones for almost 2 years too and they are my favorite pair of sunglasses. I have not found a pair since that I’ve liked better… they’ve even outlasted my Warby Parker Mabels :)
The shape of these “classic” sunglasses do not look good on me, unfortunately. Could we talk about that?

c’est bien vrai que c’est un classique…j’en ai en total noir et aussi des rouges. L’été dernier, je ne les ai pas quittées en Italie.
J’adore ta photo, tu nous l’avais déja montrée pour nous présenter ta collection de manteau grey, et là, c’est pour les lunettes. Une même photo peut être prise et vue sous tellement d’angles et d’approches…c’est génial Garance..!

I don’t have folding Wayfarers (yet), but I love Ray-Ban, most of all when there’s a limited edition. They’re always chic and affordable, I don’t like to spend hundreds of euros for a pair of sunglasses whcih probably will be “out” after few months.
