H&M Sandals

H&M Sandals

I’m not quite ready for a true Birkenstock.

I picked up these at H&M last week in hopes they would warm me up to the idea of Birks. Baby steps, ya know?

Anyway, I like the simplicity and the fact that if I wear them to the ground, I won’t break the bank replacing them. Now I need I just need a pedicure…

Sandals, H&M, $25.

Cute ! But the thing about Birkenstocks is that they last forever !! You can have them resoled, the cork refurbished and polish them. I have several pairs and my eldest and favorite pair are 15 years old. I have worn them so much , had them resoled once and recently refurbished the cork myself.

The comfort level on Birkenstocks is leaps and bounds above the H&M knock off.

    A+

NO! Buy the better made original and do not contribute to cheaply made fashion. You can do it! Not to mention birks – are much better for your feet. If price is an issue – look on ebay – I just got a pair in size 38 for $10. Black and never worn. ($8 for shipping)

I am sorry this is still not getting on me. I like trends but sometime I feel like people are going too extreme… Blame Celine for all the hype, but to me Birkenstocks is always for comfort and relax (holiday for the feet!) I personally think Birks are nice but not as those people running after the whole Celine drama. Maybe two more seasons then the whole trend is over (pls no more socks + Birks, that’s what I wear to clinic when I am so sick I just wrap myself up with whatever clothes I found that keep me warm!), people will again start teasing about how ugly Birkenstocks is…
I wore Birks in the old days when I was in uni, paring them with tee and denim shorts, it’s like you are always in vacation (with panama hat and the backpack. summer truly never end, LOL!). One day I stopped becuz I realized my size 40 feet looks like size 48 in Birks…the wrong kind of elongation…
like some of the readers said, go for the real deal Birkenstocks, keep them as a staple in your wardrobe for the health of the poor feet which always suffer for beauty (hallo 4″ Loubi).

I just took the plunge and ordered some Birkenstocks today morning! I hear that they’re so great for your feet once you break them in. Hoping to break them in before my upcoming Asia trip~

    Heu…

check out the Stuart Weitzman sandals that look a little like Birks but much less clunky…you get the look but a little more sophisticated

  • Maxinti May, 21 2014, 4:59 / Reply
