Repossi + Vogue Brunch at the Ritz

Saturday morning, girls’ brunch at the Ritz, hosted by Gaia Repossi and Vogue.

I left my bike to the doorman who took it with a grin. It made everybody laugh. Then we went to the Jardins Du Salon d’Été, a tiny and adorable patio, hidden at the end of the corridors of the gigantic hotel.

Favorite Combo : My Colorful Bracelets

Here are two bracelets I haven’t stopped wearing together, since the beginning of fashion week. I really like to mix jewelry. It’s like clothes, colors and textures mix or clash making it all more fun…

The green and gold bracelet is from Aurélie Bidermann and the pink lips bracelet is from St Kilda. Kisses !

A look inside my closet by The Coveteur

How about this morning we take a little side trip and not talk about fashion week?

Instead, why don’t we talk about me for change ?

Ahah.

The adorable (no seriously, we loved them) members of the Coveteur team took my apartment by storm for a day in July and shot some of my favorite outfits.

Take a look and tell me if you like having a peek at some of my clothes and accessories…

I think I like these kinds of close-ups so much (the stylists Erin and Steph are great at giving life to still-life. And Jake, the photographer, is so dear as well. And believe me, I’m the worst to take pictures of!!!) that from time to time, when I can, I’ll show you little snippets of some of my recent buys.

Because since that day in July, a few little things have made their way into my wardrobe (Miu Miu?) and if you’d like, I’d be happy as can be to share some of them with you.

A big thank you to The Coveteur!!!

I put some of the photos up here on the blog, but you can see all of them right here at Elle.com.

Changing Lifestyle / Food Obsessions & Feel Good Books

This is volume 2 in the series Changing Lifestyle. You can read the first episode here, where we visited the effect my move to New York had on me.

Stripped naked, we’re always beautiful. And our man will love us just the same. And our friends couldn’t care less. And we really can be just as happy. I mean, really, nothing really changes when we get a little plumper.

Okay, that’s almost true.

Locals Only

I was strolling around with Nicole and Delphine at the Art in the Streets fair – which I would definitely have told you to go if it hadn’t already ended – and I suddenly gasped when I saw these photos.

I could never be as brave as Erin Wasson – I’ve never skateboarded – that stuff is scary!!! – but I spent the ages of 14 through 17 on the side of a skate park or watching my friends literally wreck the street furniture. Not that we’d ever say something like “street furniture,” unless we were making fun or something. At the same time, I gotta say, back then we literally spoke only in onomatopoeias.

Yeah, so we weren’t the sharpest tools in the shed. The guys only thought about doing ollies and smoking joints and the girls only thought about dating the guys, just to give you a taste of the atmosphere.

Summer Camp

Every morning since we’ve been in Montauk, we’ve been having breakfast at Ruschmeyer’s, a new restaurant-hotel with a super great surf-summer camp ambience – It’s the same team from the Surf Lodge, remember ? The food is healthy and delicious and there’s this backyard with tons of summer games, ping pong, badminton… the only thing I miss is a foosball table and then I would be the happiest girl as I could kick everybody’s ass. Yep. I am a foosball pro.

Self Service

… an opportunity to tell you how much I love the magazine since its beginnings – the vision, the incredible artwork, the interviews and the perspective on fashion.

I also recently fell totally under the spell of the Ipad edition. To me it’s one of the best I’ve seen around, and for the first time made me think “Oh my god, I think I prefer to read the digital version rather than the paper one” (I felt so ashamed for a second – In fashion you’re supposed to say nothing will ever be better than reading your magazine on paper.)

If you have an Ipad I really encourage you to download it, and then let me know what you think.

Here is my selection of images with a small interview.

Oh and the picture of me was taken by Ezra Petronio, Self Service’s editor in chief and creative director for their 32nd issue. Kisses !

Garance Doré

I began my blog in June, 2006. I was an illustrator and growing frustrated – with the type of work I was getting, yes, but mostly frustrated because I wasn’t really connecting with the readers of the magazines I was working for. I wanted to do something a little more free, more spontaneous. I had ...
