Hat !

I love the gentle eccentricity of Joana’s vintage Dior hat – super chic and a little out there at the same time.

I prefer fun jewelry…

Love this necklace by Shourouk, shot at Maryam Nassir Zadeh.

Happy Birthday Garance!

So guys, today is Garance’s birthday!!! She is too busy eating cake and drinking champagne to say something, so Alex and I (her trusty assistants) have highjacked the blog to tell you!

Happy Birthday Garance!!

Love,
Alex & Emily

P.S. Those delicious cookies are from BabyCakes! Thank you Erin!!

Joan

I love the innocent feel of this top, everything is held up with just a simple chain. The feeling that it holds on to almost nothing and that it will fall at anytime is super crazy sexy. Isn’t it?

Anyway, even for me who is not a big fan of the off-duty model look (pfffffff, even the word makes me tired, it should be a part of forbidden words like it-bag, must have, and subliiiiiiiime), I have to admit that the subliiiiiiiime Joan Smalls (one of my favorite models!) always has super good style.

Aaaaaaaah, to be an off duty model…

On The Street… St. Vincent

This is Annie, the singer St. Vincent !
I love her simple outfit with the huge glasses – I feel like I am in the 70′s…

In Tokyo : Pink and Red

In Tokyo : Hair Salon

I loved talking with Wes. He knows every single magazine, always tells me the best blogs to look at, the best people to meet, and we could talk for eight hours about an editorial or its mise en page.
We have the same passion for images.

(We have a person in common too, very dear to our hearts: his fiancée, Delphine, who’s also my friend and agent…)

His job is fascinating: he works at powerHouse, a New York publishing house and he oversees every book A to Z.

I wanted to ask him some questions to find out more about his job that he loves so much and his evolution in a world that is increasingly dominated by the internet…

What is your job title?

I’m an Associate Publisher at powerHouse books.

Garance Doré

I began my blog in June, 2006. I was an illustrator and growing frustrated – with the type of work I was getting, yes, but mostly frustrated because I wasn’t really connecting with the readers of the magazines I was working for. I wanted to do something a little more free, more spontaneous. I had ...
