We talked last time about style and personality… I’ve been looking for mine (style AND personality) for a long time now.

Well. There have been a few moments slightly more memorable than others:

1/ I am 8 years old and in love with my papa.

Just to have the privilege of spending as much time with him as possible, I become interested in everything he does. I even dress like him.
I’m also the biggest fan, since I was a kid, of George, the heroine from The Famous Five.

My look? Pants and short hair. I am a real tomboy in school and the little model girls (the perfectas of the time) look at me with a raised brow. READ MORE

My Top: my essential is a leather t-shirt from COS. When it’s really cold it is better to wear something under or over it and if it’s hot …it’s better to stay in the shade!

My Bottom: Very, very thin leather pants from H&M, a leather ’50′s skirt by Salvatore Ferragamo and oversized leather pants by Au Jour Le Jour. I’m not kidding– I’m in a leather mood!

My Jeans: Black or grey are the essentials! I usually don’t spend too much money on them because I love to change it up a lot, so jeans from H&M. READ MORE

I’m sure you’ve all heard that there will be no Céline show this season : Phoebe Philo, the famous artistic director for the brand, is expecting a baby in April and so has decided to replace the show (which has to be something terribly stressful) with an informal, intimate presentation.

There are certain women you see all the time on my blog, and that’s just simply because they inspire me the most.

Take Elisa for example. During the fashion weeks, I can always pick her out in a crowd. She’s the queen of color blocking and has the most feminine tomboy look I’ve ever seen. I just love it. That said, I wondered what she would say if I asked her the same questions Emmanuelle Alt was asked (that interview about Emmanuelle’s staples really stuck with me and I find myself going back to it all the time, and it even dates back to the 90s! I forgot just how cold it can get in New York (20 degrees yesterday with a windchill that could freeze your blood) and I really admire the girls who can stay chic among those of us in military parkas (me) and Canada Goose (90% of the population of Soho where I spent yesterday afternoon).

So bravo to Melodi for this simple, warm, and chic outfit – I love the detail of the sleeves and the white gloves!
