It was awesome, to see Anja in Cannes in the midst of all the glamour and evening gowns with her worn jean shorts and her Isabel Marant jacket.

She got there just the day before, just in time for the Amfar gala where she presented the shoes that Zanotti created for Chopard, and after a flight delay, she ended up arriving super late. She had to change in the airport bathroom and do her hair and makeup in the car. But no worries, when she arrived on scene, she was perfect. A real pro…

A very good Isabel Marant show, and I already have at least four pieces on my wish list… Which ones, do you think ?

Aaaaah Isabel !

It’s like I was a little bit over the hippie-rock vibe of the last collections (don’t get me wrong, this not not mean ONE SECOND I wasn’t going at least three times a season try on the whole collection or that I didn’t get a Marant fever at the first signs of any sales, you are a petite parisienne or you are not) but I was totally delighted by the 50′s energy of this show. I want the shoes, the red leather pants and a teddy jacket.

Coming back to Paris now, all of my existential crisis return. And now I’m wondering if all our outfits really are out to get us. Just hear me out here… Take our low-rise jeans, for example. In theory, I love them.

It all started because of my Marant jogging pants which have now become an international catastrophe. From Paris to New York, seven hours on Air France’s seat 456A stuck between two babies slobbering all over me, I still haven’t taken them off, and all my friends are saying I look cooler than cool and so I’m really never going to take them off.  I’m blissful in my comfort and the cool attitude that comes with ‘em.  And what was my life goal?  Be cool, not a fool!
