Closet Confidential
Here’s a few images from Closet Confidential on yours truly that just appeared in Elle UK. Scott took the photos (except for the one of the two of us, which Eddie took) and you can see some of my favorite clothes, including this amazing coat I found at Zara, my pearl necklace I brought back from Turkey, my Borsalino, my red Lanvins, my little Alaïa clutch, some of my favorite ballet shoes (and Tom Ford who says a few pages later, “I hate flats shoes; I can’t stand another pair of those ballet pumps…” Ahaha), my amazing Lahssan trench, my suitcase, my G mug, my Khiels shampoo, and even my Agent Provocateur corset that I wore to the Vogue masquerade ball.
Stuff, stuff, stuff! Voilà!!!

Lolita
There are all sorts of Parisians.
But when I saw Lolita, I couldn’t help but think, waaaait a minute here. A Parisian wearing pink!!! Weird! How interesting is that! Oookay, stop!!! Let’s take a look at this.
After a quick photo stop and a little investigation, it appears that Lolita is a Parisian just come back from a few years in London. Ah! What an exquisite mélange.
Like my friend Sophie said while we spent our Saturday afternoon together, Lolita has it all right:
- The Repetto ballet shoes BUT with a little heel.
- Well tailored pants BUT just a touch too short.
- And the super chic Kelly BUT worn on the shoulder with an army strap.
So yeah, I’ll let you continue the list. And then of course, OF COURSE, Sophie and I went to go check out the vintage Kellys at Trois Marches (remind me to do a post about this shop, please please please do!) and JUST ADMIRE THEM, if you know what mean…
And then I made sure to check with my mother that she didn’t have a Kelly hiding somewhere in some long lost closet. Question verified (“For the 15th time, my love, NO!!!”) I decided to add the bag right to the top of my wish-list.
Voilà, it’s done! What a relief! Big hugs!

“What do you think? How cool is this mask?” Crystal Renn asked me showing off her silver mask that made her look like cat-woman from space.”
I love it. I want the same one.
“And the whip? What do you think? Do I need the whip?” she asks me showing me a silky whip snapping it against her thigh.
I love the look. It’s so Newton. Wow. Yeah, get the whip.

Aaaaah Lanvin. I hope this video will make you feel a little bit of the magic of those shows. I love how the crowd during the show goes : “Aaaaah !” “Fanstastique !” and sometimes spontaneously applaude a dress.

Last year, I got hung up on a Margaret Howell shirt. So simple, so beautiful, in the most perfect cream cotton. The thing that did me in was the little MH discretely embroidered on the pocket. I pictured myself wearing it like a piece from a bygone era, like something that belonged to my grandmother.
