Super Polka Dot Power!!!

Kids, polka-dots attract polka-dots. And for spring, the thing is to mix those polka-dots, big ones, small ones, black on white, white on black, multicolored, all of ‘em.

And on top of that, your polka-dots will attract other people’s polka-dots, sometimes, in the form of none other than Giovanna. That’s what we like to call Super Polka-Dot Power!

Marc Jacobs is gonna be so happy, you just wait. Big hugs!

Elisa’s trench is Lahssan and the incredible shoes that Giovanna has on are by Sergio Rossi.

One of my favorite shows in New York… Long live Marc Jacobs !

A New Skirt Length

I am not sure this kind of skirt would look good on me, but I am still dreaming of Dries Van Noten and Marc Jacobs’ winter collections… I love it.

Aaaaaah. If I was a fashion editor, I wouldn’t like to be seated next to me at a show. Filming, during a show, trying to stay chic and not disturb the people around, it’s quite tricky. Even more so when I am seating next to Scott who is shooting with his camera, it’s an evil combination… Pffffff, oh well… It’s a blogger’s life !

Anyway. I am very happy to show you this film from the Marc Jacobs show. And I am very happy this is sunday. This show was so dreamy, it is perfect for a sunday morning. My favorite show in New York.

Translation by me… On a sunday morning. Sorry !

I heart you !

You remember the day I talked to you about “fade-it like Daphné*?”

And so there you have it. It’s awesome, right? Too awesome.

So, my hair, it thought it was more or less cool.

OMFG! It’s all dried out! When I put my hands through my hair it stays in my hair!!! I went to Kiehls yesterday and bought a gallon of coconut conditioner and a family sized jar of the OLIVE OIL mask** and I decided I needed to get it cut right away.***

Moral of the story:”fade-it like Daphné” unfortunately, will stay just Daphné’s. Yarrr, Garance, you think you can just copy someone’s style like that? That it would be so easy? Okay, one more time, remember these words, “There’s no copying awesomeness… or attractiveness.****”

Garance Doré

I began my blog in June, 2006. I was an illustrator and growing frustrated – with the type of work I was getting, yes, but mostly frustrated because I wasn’t really connecting with the readers of the magazines I was working for. I wanted to do something a little more free, more spontaneous. I had ...
