Et voilà…

The last video from Autumn-Winter fashion week 2010!!!

To close it out, I chose Dries Van Noten.

His collections always touch very close to my heart.

I don’t know why, but I think that he sums up the whole season well. A season full of nostalgia and timelessness, but also marked by a newfound energy and an incredible surge of passion from the public. The electricity of the Céline show really was palpable.

We also saw a new woman make an appearance, fresher, softer than previous seasons, you remember, the one that dressed all in black, perched in killer heels and covered in studs… The woman today has pink cheeks, wears camel, khakis, and a messenger bag because it’s more comfortable.

I don’t know about you, but this definitely made me so wonderfully hopeful about the future. Do you feel the same way I do? What were your favorite collections?

As you know, I am a big fan of Max Mara. It’s a brand I wear and I love. That’s why I was super honored when the Max Mara team came to me offering me… My first video commission !!!

That’s also the reason why this video is a little bit different : There are a few interviews ! And one of them is… Anna Wintour.

Oh my god I was so stressed before I dared asking her my question !!! But she was very sweet…

Aaaaah Isabel !

It’s like I was a little bit over the hippie-rock vibe of the last collections (don’t get me wrong, this not not mean ONE SECOND I wasn’t going at least three times a season try on the whole collection or that I didn’t get a Marant fever at the first signs of any sales, you are a petite parisienne or you are not) but I was totally delighted by the 50’s energy of this show. I want the shoes, the red leather pants and a teddy jacket.

Right now.

Let me tell you one thing :

If that video makes you feel just an ounce of the joy everybody feels at a Lanvin show (Even though we didn’t even have time to film the champagne rosé and the chocolate raspberries that are offered before it started) then I can go snowboard in a state of total bliss.

I promise, I will try not to hit a tree.

And here is Céline, the show everybody was waiting for. As simple as this : it looks like in this show, more than reporting, the fashion editors are here to make their personnal shopping. Never seen so many Céline outfits. And such a tension : when the music started, it looked like time was suspended in the Tennis Club de Paris.
