The fashion industry’s obsession with youth isn’t breaking news…

We see it on the runway, in editorials and in ad campaigns but it looks like things might be starting to change. Last week in Paris, for example, Rick Owens sent a variety of ethnicities and ages down the runway, most of the models being more mature.

We also just found out that actress Jessica Lange (how many of you DIE for her in American Horror Story?) will front the Marc Jacobs Beauty campaigns this year (oh, she’s 64) and Charlotte Rampling will be the face of the NARS 20th anniversary campaign (she’s 68).

Clearly, big brands are beginning to endorse a more mature image of womanhood and only time can tell if the budding trend continues to catch steam.
